Yes! We are a home-based business on the Northwest side of Chicago, and can faciliate pickup of your books within 24 hours. Occasionally, we can make arrangements for pickup at one of our partner businesses in Edgewater, Humboldt Park, Pilsen, or Evergreen Park.

To offer competitive pricing, 51st Ward Books sells books that were excess inventory and store returns that we purchased directly from various publishers. These books are new and in good reading condition and will, in most cases, have a small dot or line on the edge of the book to signify it is a discounted title. Occasionally minor damage will be present due to shipping.

Due to the limited amounts of inventory, all sales are final. However, if individual books are significantly damaged during shipping, customers have the option of receiving a prorated store credit (based on value within bundle and at the discretion of 51st Ward Books) toward a future purchase or a merchandise replacement (if available).
